LAND USE

Mr. Rinaldi has been representing individual homeowners as well as developers in all of their land use related matters. Mr. Rinaldi is, and has been since January of 2010, the Zoning and Planning Board Attorney for the Borough of Berlin. For the better part of 21 years, Mr. Rinaldi has represented, as an example, individual homeowners seeking variances for relatively simple matters such as, property line setbacks, additions to their homes, fences, pools, and the like. In addition, real estate developer representation has been a focal point of the firm’s practice. Real estate developer representation includes all matters ranging from the minor site plan approval to the major subdivision process.

While individuals are permitted to represent themselves before both Zoning and Planning Boards, corporate and other legal entities, must be represented by legal counsel. The process, if approached correctly, can result in a relatively short application process. Each town, municipality and/or borough establishes its own zoning and planning regulations known as zoning and planning ordinances or code. Familiarity with not only the local ordinances, but County, State and Federal regulations are imperative to a successful application.
